👍️ The Jump of Her Life

Age is just a number – and Dorothy Hoffner proved it in breathtaking style.

At 104, she soared 13,500 feet from a plane in an attempt to break the world record for the oldest skydiver. Dorothy made her first jump at the age of 100.

Proving to all of us it’s never too late to try something new.

⚒️ Why 'Wealth Workshops' Could Be Your “In” to Connect With 100s of New Prospects

In a world where financial worries loom large, there's a growing need for a lifeline.

The 2023 Workplace Wellness Survey reveals a financial storm on the horizon, with 4 out of 5 American workers anxious about potential economic challenges like recessions and high inflation.

But here's the kicker – they're looking to their employers for support, with a whopping 79% believing that businesses have a role in alleviating their financial stress. 📊💼

That’s where you come into play.

There’s a strategy that, when executed properly, will not only help these business owners but also open doors to new prospects in your local area.

The strategy is built on something called a “Wealth Workshop.”

🏫What is a Wealth Workshop?

A Wealth Workshop is a simple 1-3 hour event where a business owner invites you to come to their workplace and meet with their employees and:

  • Provide financial tools and frameworks

  • Answer employee questions

  • Offer next steps for debt, retirement, insurance, etc.

These workshops do three things:

  1. They help relieve employees’ financial stress

  2. They help the business owner provide the kind of support employees are seeking

  3. They give you a list of prospects that you can reach out to after the workshop

In other words, everyone wins!

🔨Here’s How You Execute Wealth Workshops

  • Start by identifying businesses in your area.

  • Reach out to them with an offer they can't refuse.

  • Plan 1-2 Wealth Workshops Per Month

  • With advanced permission, contact attendees after the Workshop and invite qualified prospects to a 1-on-1 Strategy Session

✍️ Outreach Script for Connecting With Business Owners

Message:

Hi John,

Jeremiah here… pardon the cold outreach, but I thought you should see this.

A new 2023 Workplace Wellness Survey shows 4 out of 5 of your employees are concerned about their financial future - which is impacting their personal lives and productivity at work.

And here’s the kicker…79% believe their employer plays some role in alleviating this pressure.

I know we haven’t met yet, but I’ve lived and worked in the Dallas area for 17 years, and I’d love to chat with you about an idea I had.

I’d love to get a date on your calendar over the next 2-3 months where I can come in and host a “Wealth Workshop” for your employees.

There’s zero cost to you. (I’ll even cater lunch.)

I’ll offer some free budgeting, saving, and retirement resources…and then spend at least an hour answering your employees’ questions about their finances.

Nothing for sale, no pitches.

You look like a hero, your employees get their questions answered, and afterwards (with your permission), I might be able to help a couple of folks in a 1-on-1 capacity.

Would you have 10 min for a quick chat to discuss Monday? (or use my calendar link below)

💪 Building Trust With Strangers: ‘The UGC Method’ That Beats Ads and SEO

Studies and surveys continue to show that people trust User Generated Content (UGC) MORE than branded content.

It doesn’t matter the industry or market, people are much more likely to trust:

  • Pictures…

  • Videos…

  • Blog posts…

  • Testimonials…

  • Social media posts…

…when they come from their PEERS.

For the most part, people see through carefully-edited and over-produced content that comes from a company’s marketing department.

If it feels too “produced,” it loses some of its authenticity.

People want to see real content from…well…real people.

For many years, advisors had no way of leveraging UGC from clients.

But ever since the SEC approved the use of testimonials in advisor marketing a couple of years ago, the game has changed.

Are you taking advantage of it?

👇 Here’s my challenge to you this week 👇

  1. Send out an email to 10 of your top clients.

  2. Ask for a video testimonial in exchange for a $50 Amazon gift card.

  3. Start using the videos on your LinkedIn profile, website, and as part of your webinars and sales meetings.

I can guarantee you that 10 video testimonials from “raving fan” clients will be worth much more than the $500 you spend in gift cards.

A single positive testimonial is more influential to your prospects than an hour spent talking about yourself.

You can fracture one video into shorter video clips, social media posts, quotes on your website, case studies for webinars, etc.

UGC is where the ROI is…get on it!

P.S. Not sure how to start collecting testimonials to use in your UGC content strategy? Check out the next section.

📕 Your Marketing Rulebook Got Rewritten: How to Gain an Edge

Can I tell you the truth?

One of the things that’s always frustrated me about our industry is how SLOW it is to evolve.

When you compare financial services – and especially advisory – to other industries, we’re years behind.

It’s not that we’re incapable. (Some of the smartest folks I know are advisors.)

It’s that we’ve been handcuffed for soooo long by strict regulations and rules.

So when I heard that the SEC was FINALLY giving advisors the green light to start collecting and using testimonials in marketing…

…we couldn’t contain our excitement.

Within HOURS we designed an entire playbook with 29 videos, email templates, and ideas for how advisors can start leveraging testimonials to build social proof.

(Seriously…we almost pulled a couple of all-nighters doing this.)

Here’s some of what’s included:

  • 2 “Foolproof” Questions To Generate Testimonials At Scale

  • Two Powerful Copy-and-paste Email Templates that Get Lay Down Testimonials

  • Sample Presentation Slides That Make Your Testimonials LOUD

  • 8 Testimonial Power Strategies That We’ve Used To Help Advisors Generate Millions In AUM

✌️Good Vibes

One of Diane Sweeney's final wishes was to give away her beloved Silver VW Beetle to someone who attended her funeral.

Her friends decided to honor that wish by making it as BIG as possible, calling up a local news station to drum up excitement.

Hundreds of strangers attended the funeral, including teenager Gabrielle Bonham and her sisters.

"It was very interesting not to know her and to see her life through her family's eyes," Gabrielle reflected.

She filled out a raffle ticket like everyone else and then forgot about it.

A year passed as Diane’s estate got sorted out…

Then just recently, Gabrielle got a call from a number she didn’t recognize, letting her know that the Silver Beetle was hers!

"I think that it's really cool to see something good happen and the effect that it makes on other people who weren't directly involved in it. Just people want to do good things. It's amazing."
