The only thing Tom Hegna loves more than golf ⛳ and the color orange 🟠 is helping advisors win.

So when he approached me a few weeks ago about an opportunity for the two of us to help an intimate group of 10 advisors get in front of 14 million investors, I was in.

This is something we’ve never done before.

As of last count, I believe we’re down to 8 spots left.

👉 Check out the short video Tom and I recorded to share details!

👴🏽The High Cost of Caregiving

Baby Boomers are living longer than ever - woohoo! 🥳

We're jazzed about their extended stay on planet earth. However, we're not that thrilled about the sky-high costs of caregiving and their downstream impacts on families.

💸 Caregiving Cash Crunch

According to a new report, caregivers spend an average of $7,000 per year on expenses like housing, healthcare, and transportation.

Half of all caregivers say this puts a significant strain on their personal finances.

If caregivers don't have the funds to pay for these expenses, many dip into their savings and retirement accounts.

Some may even opt to take on a second job.

Others decide to take on new debt, pay bills late, or pump the breaks on their retirement contributions.

💡 Sharing is Caring

If you have clients who are caring for aging loved ones, chances are they're feeling it in their pockets, wallets, and in between the couch cushions.

As an advisor, there are plenty of ways you can help ease the burden of your caregiver clients:

💭 Check out MIT's AgeLab's Preparing for Longevity Advisory Network. It's basically a think tank for ideas on longevity planning, caregiving, and aging in place.

🤝 Expand your network and form relationships with social workers and caregiving professionals. Connect them to clients who may need their advice and watch your good karma points increase.

🗣️ Host a webinar on the skills clients need to survive the financial chaos of caregiving. Show them how to insulate their finances from money emergencies like taking time off from work, unexpected bills, and having to hire in-home support.

Advisors should also take a holistic approach to helping clients.

Sure, you're there to help them grow their retirement nest egg, but if you can help them weather life's financial storms, you'll be their BFF. 🤗

💻 Thinking of Starting a Blog? Here's Some Inspo

Got a way with words? Looking for a way to grow your business while showing the world you're the king/queen of all experts?

Blogging might be your best bet.

🧠 To Blog or Not to Blog

Regular blogging helps you establish authority in your niche and gives you major credibility.

If you know a ton about a really tough subject, showing off your smarts through a well-written blog separates you from a sea of pretenders.

You can also target your blog directly to investors to attract prospective clients.

Who knows? You could wind up becoming someone's most favorite newsletter…just like we are to you! Too soon? 😆

Pro tip: if you're going to start a blog, make sure you can invest enough time to build and grow it. Unlike the viral and flashy nature of social media marketing, blogging is a long game. 🐢

If you're not the best writer, you're in luck. Today's AI writers help you generate ideas and put everything together in a blog in just a few clicks. Some great options are ChatGPT, Copy.ai, and Rytr.
