🤔 Why Didn’t We Think of That?
In today's "Why didn't I think of that?" news, a 3-year-old Aussie kid took "winning" to a whole new level by becoming the ultimate prize inside a claw machine at a local mall.
While most of us are out here strategizing to snag a plush toy with a metal claw, this little guy went full Ocean's Eleven and got right to the source.
Cheers to chasing your goals…and not letting anything get in the way! 🥂

Why the number 4.1 million is relevant today
🎥 You-S-A: The Platform More FAs Need to Pay Attention To
Most social media platforms have a generational niche that they tend to attract.
TikTok for example skews toward 18-29-year-olds.
Facebook, while it tends to have wide appeal, has become much more of a Boomer-friendly platform over the past few years.
But then there’s YouTube – a rare unicorn platform with mass appeal across all U.S. adults.
▶️ YouTube USA
The latest findings reveal 93% of US adults aged 18-29 use YouTube on a regular basis.
The numbers don’t drop very much when you examine 30-44 year-olds, as 92% frequent the platform.
Even among those in the 65+ cohort, YouTube has a firm grip on 60% of people.
📺 YouTube for FAs
One of the easiest ways to get results with prospecting and marketing is to follow the current of the river.
In other words, don’t fight upstream using strategies that you want to work. Instead, swim downstream by using the platforms and channels that your target niche is already using.
In 2024, that would be YouTube.
There are 3 powerful ways we see advisors using YouTube to grow their practices:
Creating content
Learning new skills
Researching niche audiences
The most successful advisors treat YouTube as both a marketing and educational tool. It helps them attract new clients, while also equipping them with new skills.
Here are a few of the best advisor channels out there to draw inspiration from:

🌊 How to Siphon More Traffic From LinkedIn With 2 Tactics
LinkedIn is obviously a great tool for networking and starting conversations on the platform.
However, it can also be a great source of traffic to your website, landing pages, webinars opt-ins, etc.
Here are two neat hacks you can use on your LinkedIn profile to drive targeted traffic to a landing page, email opt-in form, webinar…or any web page!
Add This Element to Your Banner
As you may know, LinkedIn banners do not allow for clickable links. But we’ve found a workaround that allows you to leverage your banner as a traffic source.
Check it out:
Step 1: Use Canva to design a new banner for your LinkedIn profile
Step 2: Find the “QR Code” generator tool in the sidebar
Step 3: Paste the link you want to use in the “URL” field
Step 4: Customize the QR code with the color/design you like
Step 5: Include a CTA on your banner and finalize
Your LinkedIn banner is basically a billboard. If you aren’t maximizing this digital real estate, you’re wasting an opportunity to get in front of prospects.
2. Use the Custom Button Feature on Your Profile
Did you know that LinkedIn has a “Custom Button” that allows you to insert a call-to-action into your profile and link people directly to your calendar, website, blog, etc.?
Here’s how you set it up:
Go to Your Profile: Navigate to your LinkedIn profile page.
Edit Information: Click on the pencil icon to edit your profile.
Find the Custom Button Section: Scroll down to the bottom where it says "custom button."
Add Your Link: Insert the link you want to feature.
Save Changes: Don't forget to click save!
The neat thing about these custom buttons is that you can include them on your profile, as well as in messages you send and content you post.
🧮 By the Numbers
$4.1 Million
This is the number of Americans who are set to turn 65 this year, and every year through 2027.
Experts are calling this the “Silver Tsunami,” with more than 11,000 Americans now turning 65 every single day.
