😺 Library Forgiveness Card

If you live in Worcester and owe the Public Library overdue fees, now is your chance to get off Scot-free!

But there’s one small catch…

You have to share a picture of a cat.

Your cat…a famous cat…the Cat in the Hat…any cat will do.

Now, if only Uncle Sam would give you a discount on your taxes this year for a picture of Garfield.

📊 Ranked: What People Value Most in a Financial Advisor

According to a new report by Morningstar, people are looking for very specific things when searching for a financial advisor in 2024.

And some of the factors that you think might matter…actually have very little influence over a prospect’s choice of an advisor

⬆️ Top Factors

3 of the top 4 factors are related to personalization – including personalized financial advice, ability to understand individual risk tolerance, and specialization.

Good communication skills, transparent fee structure/pricing, and first impressions also hold significant weight.

⬇️ Least Important Factors

Interestingly, online social proof in the form of reviews and ratings isn’t as important as we might think. (And neither are recommendations from friends and family.)

But the most interesting takeaway is that individuals aren’t looking for an advisor who shares a similar background or cultural understanding as them.

In other words, you don’t need to be a doctor to target doctors. And you don’t have to have a background as a professional athlete to work with them.

Bottom Line: Your ability to personalize your services to your clients is the most important factor in attracting people to work with you.

💸 The 4 Money Scripts Every Client Identifies With

Research shows that financial attitudes influence which people seek investment advice and which ones avoid it.

The study, published in the Journal of Financial Therapy, indicates every person has an ingrained “money script.”

This is a person’s beliefs about money, which are developed in early childhood.

These scripts can impact a person’s relationship with behaviors like gambling, saving, investing, financial infidelity, etc.

As an advisor, the sooner you can identify a client/prospect’s money script, the more likely you are to interrupt their destructive behaviors and help.

The 4 basic script categories are:

1️⃣ Money Avoidance

2️⃣ Money Worship

3️⃣ Money Status

4️⃣ Money Vigilance

✌️Good Vibes

In a heartwarming tale of resilience and determination, 22-year-old Faith Snapp has defied the odds by securing a coveted spot at the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine despite being legally blind.

Despite having just 10% field vision and only the ability to detect movement in her right eye, Snapp's spirit and love for animals have allowed her to pursue her dreams.

"In my mind, the only limitation I have is if I think I can't do it," Snapp says.

Perhaps those are wise words for all of us this Sunday. 💪
