Good morning and Happy Sunday.

And good morning to the bear and cub that raided a Krispy Kreme van on an Alaska military base this past week. The delivery driver left his van doors open, giving them a few minutes in pastry paradise.

🤫 The Billionaire Blindspot That Nobody is Talking About

Money, money, money—sure it's on everyone's mind, but have the big leagues really thought through how to keep their fortune a family affair?

The Numbers Don't Lie, But They Might Surprise You

Hot off the press, Citi Private Bank's latest survey spills the tea on 268 family offices, with a net worth of a jaw-dropping $565 billion. (Roughly the size of the entire GDP of Belgium.)

These folks are sweating bullets about inflation and geopolitics, but you know what's not keeping them up at night?

Planning ahead for who is going to protect and grow the family’s nest egg once they’re out of the game.

There’s a huge imbalance in priorities.

A whopping 74% are laser-focused on wealth management.

But hang on:

  • Only 32% have a family charter

  • A paltry 28% have a succession plan

  • Just 21% are educating the next-gen on "Money 101ā€

Your Golden Opportunity

What's this spell?

One word: Opportunity.

If you've been hunting for that elusive market niche, this could be your eureka moment.

Wealthy families are screaming for succession planning services; they just don't know it yet.

šŸ’” Ideas & Hooks to Grab Attention

  • The "Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow" Workshop: Host a live or virtual session to highlight the perils of not planning for succession. Make it snappy and informative, showcasing your expert insights.

  • Tailored Financial Literacy Courses: Market a course specifically designed for the kiddos (Gen Z and millennials) in wealthy families. Pepper it with relevant case studies and relatable memes. Get them interested in preserving the empire.

  • ā€œWho Wants to be a Billion-Heir?ā€ Quiz: Gamify the process! Create an interactive quiz that helps families identify the gaps in their succession planning. Follow it up with actionable tips and a consultation call. I like tools like Outgrow and Typeform for creating quizzes.

  • Crisis Simulations: Conduct a "What if?" scenario analysis. What happens if the family patriarch/matriarch retires tomorrow? Paint a clear picture, and then swoop in with your solution.

  • The Philanthropy Paradox: Since younger gens are all about giving back, tie this into how proper succession planning can help fulfill long-term philanthropic goals. Show them how to do good and keep the money in the family.

What do you think?

Is there some opportunity here to wake the ultra-wealthy up to what’s sure to be a BIG problem in the coming years?

If so, that’s an opportunity you shouldn’t let slide by.

Can I tell you the truth?

One of the things that’s always frustrated me about our industry is how SLOW it is to evolve.

When you compare financial services – and especially advisory – to other industries, we’re years behind.

It’s not that we’re incapable. (Some of the smartest folks I know are advisors.)

It’s that we’ve been handcuffed for soooo long by strict regulations and rules.

So when I heard that the SEC was FINALLY giving advisors the green light to start collecting and using testimonials in marketing…

…we couldn’t contain our excitement.

Within HOURS we designed an entire playbook with 29 videos, email templates, and ideas for how advisors can start leveraging testimonials to build social proof.

(Seriously…we almost pulled a couple of all-nighters doing this.)

Here’s some of what’s included:

  • 2 ā€œFoolproofā€ Questions To Generate Testimonials At Scale

Buckle up, because we're hitting a "weird little sweet spot" in interest rates.

Why should you care?

It's time to supercharge your relational equity with clients and prospects. šŸ¤

Comin’ Round…The Top of the Mountain

The Fed's mixing things up with interest rates again.

We're currently sitting pretty at a 5.25-5.50% range, the highest in 20 years.

But this week, Jerome & Co. hit pause on another hike, and the experts are buzzing.

This might just be the "top of the mountain" for cash investors aiming to max out ROI.

Translation: Carpe Diem on high-interest products like CDs, HYSAs, and T-bills.

A Sweet Spot Like No Other

This isn't your average high-interest rate environment.

We're talking about a scenario where online banks are offering up to 5.1% on one-year CDs.

As I’m sure you know, that’s double the game from last year.

Clients are looking for advice, and there’s never been a better time for cash investors to hop on these high-interest goodies.

Your Relationship-Building Excuse

You've always wanted a "there's nothing in it for me" moment to build long-term relationships with clients, right?

This is the big opportunity.

Reach out and offer your expertise in navigating this high-interest environment.

It's your ticket to cementing yourself as a lifelong advisor.

The Best Thing I Saw All Week

94-year-old Barbara from New Hampshire recently hit the road for a cross-country tearjerker: Saying farewell to her 90-year-old sister Shirley in Nevada.

Their last face-to-face? It was in 2020. (Thanks, COVID.)

In a video that's now a TikTok sensation with 13M views, Shirley says, "If we don't see each other on this earth, we'll see you in heaven."

Barbara's heartfelt reply? "You betcha."

"Don't say goodbye!" Shirley urges the night before parting.

Barbara assures, "There's no way I'm saying goodbye to you."

Three years in the making, one incredible journey, and millions touched.
